Dogs

Dogs: A Story of Our Best Friend was a special exhibit at the South Australian Museum.

The exhibition ran from 29 November 2019 – 2 August 2020, extended past it’s original close date by popular demand.

Dog Terrace was the cornerstone of the exhibit

The Dog Terrace interactives were positioned in front of a display of 32 dog skeletons, meticulously prepared by museum curators. Visitors could explore the screens to read more about each breed, and watch videos of museum taxidermist Jo Bain discussing the anatomy of the dogs. The screens also featured gorgeous illustrations from Mia, the museum’s resident illustrator.

With the help of dog trainer professionals, we created the dog breed quiz.

Answering just ten questions on a scale of one to five, the quiz compared your score to a database of 300 dogs.

A display of the coolest dog stories

The final touchscreen display we built was an archive of outstanding things about dogs. With written content provided by museum staff, we developed the screens and sourced imagery for each story.
