The Royal Society for the Blind needed a new home for their policies and procedures. RSB QA is designed to provide access to policies and procedures to the RSB’s 160 employees and 6000 volunteers.

An evolution from the old system of hard copy and flat HTML files, the RSB needed a more modern system that allowed for easy updating, audit trails, downloadable resources and a high level of accessibility.

Policies and resources

RSB QA is made up of over 200 documents sorted into a hierarchy that spans RSB’s wide range of services. This is easily managed through WordPress, enabling administrators to organise policies into department and include any downloadable resources, forms and additional files that are required.

Within such a complicated content structure the ability for administrators to have full control over their content was a high priority.

Responsive & mobile friendly

Designed to be accessed by all staff and volunteers across RSB’s sites in three states and territories, as well as on a variety of mobile devices, tablets and computers, RSB QA is fully responsive and mobile friendly.

User management and publishing

Through RSB QA, content management and updates are a community effort. Personnel in a variety of departments are responsible for updating policies and procedures, with all changes being vetted by administrators before appearing on the site.

RSB QA relies on a system of scheduled updates, publishing workflows and user permissions to stay up to date, relevant and useful for all departments.
